Two years in the making, I’ve decided to say goodbye to personalized vacation planning services. I want to take the time to absolutely thank my clients who have supported me on this journey. I have loved serving you and can point you in the direction of those who love this.
So why am I saying goodbye you ask (are you just quitting? haha…) Truthfully while I love seeing how happy my clients were on their trips, there are a ton of parts to the backend process that don’t spark joy for me. The travel industry is a fantastic industry, but when it’s harder to book your client’s travel plans than it is to book your own travel it just takes the fun out of it. Not to mention the ancient booking systems and lofty expectations about what money can actually get you (versus points). Luxury travel is my jam, but also I love recommending airbnbs and tours that make no money. And when you can’t sell everything you love it makes it hard to sell. With the arrival of my baby boy (and future traveler) I finally have decided it’s time to only do things that spark joy for me.
Will I ever sell personalized travel services in the future? Perhaps, but for now I’m saying so long.
Does this mean I’ll stop sharing my love of wanderlust with the world? Absolutely not. It’s just time to share this same love and passion in a different way. For starters, Love Your Wanderlust will turn into a blog where I share how to travel and how I fund a wanderlust life. While I’m not clear at where this path will lead, I’m very clear that closing the door on personalized vacation planning will lead to more epic adventures down the road.
So for my amazing clients, thank you. I’ve loved serving you and can’t wait to share with you this next chapter of life.
Cheers to your wanderlust,
Kristie
